We appreciate your assistance in identifying the organizations, groups, projects, and individuals in your community that reflect and work for a culture of peace.

Because the information you provide will be available through this website to the general public around the world, including the media, researchers, and government officials at all levels, it is essential that it be accurate and complete. We have, therefore, created a form for you to use that can be completed and submitted on-line. We will then contact the candidate you are recommending to confirm the accuracy and adequacy of the information as well as their acceptance to be listed in the Registry.

Before you begin to fill out the nomination form, please search the database to see if your candidate is already there. When you are satisfied that yours is indeed a new candidate for the Peace Registry, the following notes may assist you in completing the Nomination Form:

1. Please use a separate form for each organization, group, project or individual you identify.
2. If you are recommending more than one project for an organization, please use a separate form for each project. If you are recommending an organization as a whole, then you do not need to list a particular project. If you are identifying a single project, please be sure and identify the organization that is sponsoring it.
3. To make the information easily accessible for those searching for information on the groups and projects in the “Peace Registry” you will be asked to identify the “scope” of the group or project – International, National, Local and to identify the “focus” of the group or project – Arts and Culture, Philosophy and Spirit, Peace and Nonviolence, Business and Industry, Economy and Society, Education and Training, Environment and Energy, Politics and Government, Health and Nutrition, Community and Human Relations, Other.
4. Please use the "comments" and “details” sections to expand on the specifics of the project or initiative you have identified.
5. Be sure to include your contact information so we can follow up with you if we have questions. Also, please let us know how you learned about the candidate you are recommending. You may have done this through, for example, a conversation with individuals at the organization, conversations with others who know of the organization's work, articles you have read, or web-based or media research.
